Am 13. März 1979 gelingt dem im Volk beliebten Maurice Bishop ein unblutiger Putsch auf der Karibikinsel Grenada. Unter seiner Regierung werden Schulen gebaut und die Arbeitslosenquote massiv gesenkt. Vier Jahre später wird er ermordet und 7.600 US-Truppen "befreien" die kleine Insel. Hat die USA ihre militärische Macht eingesetzt, um ihre größte Bedrohung zu stoppen - den Kommunismus?
